First offer for 2014 LB

Offer No. 1 came in recently for Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic 2014 linebacker Cameron Queiro. The 6-foot-0, 190-pounder discussed the scholarship and his growing interest.
"I got an offer from Northwestern about a week ago," he said. "It felt great. I was waiting and working hard and it was just a great feeling. Now, I've got something to work even harder for."

Queiro gave his insight on Northwestern and his relationship with the school.
"Well, with my brother committed there and I've seen all of their games," he said. "I like them. The possibility of playing on the same defense is great. It would be great to have him around."
Meanwhile, Queiro is also hearing from Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Boston College and Vanderbilt among others.
"They are all just interested in seeing my game film after the first two or three games this season."
The linebacker prospect plans to head up to Northwestern during his bye week.
"I'm definitely going down to Northwestern," he said. "I don't know where I'm going to go from there. I'll probably take more visits in the off-season since I'm not playing basketball this year."
Even though the recruiting process just started, Queiro gave a few thoughts on what he wants in a school.
"I'd just say I want a balanced education along with football," he said. "It doesn't have to be a championship contender, but a good football program that wants to win and work hard. I want a good fit for me educationally. I think I want to study communications."
In the season opener, Queiro posted approximately six tackles.
