First offer comes for WR Harvell

Offer No. 1 has come in for Dinwiddie, Va. wide receiver Drakar Harvell. Who pulled the trigger on the 5-foot-10, 191-pounder on Tuesday?
"I got an offer from Buffalo," he said. "It's great, it's great. I've been praying for it through the months and it's good to get the wind off of my back and get my first offer. I'm just grateful."

Harvell went on about the Bulls.
"I know I saw them play in a bowl game two years ago and that was my first time seeing them on TV," he said. "They came by the school last year and then came by two weeks ago. I've looked them up on the computer and they look like a good program and a good organization.
"I've talked to the wide receivers coach and he liked my film and he is planning to get back in touch with me about setting up a visit."
Harvell confirmed he'd like to take an unofficial this summer sometime.
Meanwhile, plenty of other colleges are in pursuit.
"Richmond, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Duke, NC State and Virginia Tech has been sending a few letters," he said. "Hopefully now that I got that first offer more schools will start pouring in.
"A lot of the schools want to see me live. I know I'm going to Virginia's 7-on-7 on June 18th I believe and I'm going to Richmond's 7-on-7 on June 4th. Hopefully I can go to Tech. I really like Virginia Tech and Virginia. I've got to talk to Virginia Tech's coaches, but I'll probably go in July to Tech."
