Hitchcock, Texas running back Marquis Lowe has broken the seal. The Class 2A star received his first scholarship offer this week.
The offer for the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder came from the University of Houston.

While recruiting often has a domino effect, time will tell who else will come after the cat-quick athlete. He is also being recruited in the early period by Kansas, Oklahoma State, LSU, Missouri, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Wisconsin.
"He can go," Hitchcock coach Gary Carney said. "He might be a better defensive back than a running back. He likes to punish people. He plays quarterback for us right now because he's the best we have, but he'll play receiver, running back of defensive back in college. He just has so much speed."
Lowe reached the state finals in the 100-meter dash as a freshman and has been burning up the track much like the football field. On the field, he rushed for over 2,000 yards as a junior as was named to all-district, region and state first-teams. He threw for over 800 yards.
