First offer comes for Phoebus CB
Hampton (Va.) Phoebus cornerback Reid Evans is moving up recruiting charts. The 5-foot-11, 168-pounder has landed his first scholarship and believes some Division I schools are next in line to offer.
"I've got an offer from Elon right now," he said. "I think ECU is about to offer and Marshall appears to be close. Those are the ones I know about right now."

Has Evans participated in any camps recently?
"I went to a seven-on-seven camp not too long ago and we won the whole thing," he said. "I did pretty well at that camp. It was real fun for me and a good experience.
"I plan to do another seven-on-seven on July 7th at King's Fork High School. I'm also looking at going to ECU for camp sometime soon."
The Hampton Roads prospect doesn't claim any favorites at this time.
"There are a lot of schools looking at me and I'm keeping my options open," he said. "I just want to have the best season ever and then more schools will look at me.
"I'm basically looking for academics and a good football team. I'd like to be on a nice campus in a good area too."
