First offer comes for MD tackle

Offensive tackle Arie Kouandjio landed his first scholarship not too long ago. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder claims one offer so far from the ACC.
"I got my first offer from Maryland recently," he said. "They are a good school that is definitely on my mind.

"I'm talking to a couple other colleges and trying to sit back, relax and hopefully more offers will come in."
Kouandjio is also hearing from Pittsburgh and Rutgers.
Does he like any schools?
"I'm starting to like North Carolina," he said. "Hopefully I can go somewhere like that or Georgia. I could do well in the cold, but I like it when it's warm.
"I love those programs too. I always watch them and Maryland."
The massive Maryland tackle is looking for a few things in his college choice.
"I want somewhere I belong, somewhere that can hopefully get me to the next level and I can go far in life," he said. "Location kind of matters and then I want to study business."
Kouandjio finished a strong junior year for DeMatha.
"I think I showed I'm really athletic and I can move my feet, I also have pretty strong legs," he stated. "I think I can always improve and I want to improve on everything next year."
Kouandjio also wrestles for DeMatha.
