First offer comes for Jersey sleeper

Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township is home to quite a few prospects in the 2008 recruiting class. One of the sleepers on the team is 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver Brandon Jones who has just recently picked up his first offer.
"I got an offer from Eastern Michigan," he said. "I talked to the coaches briefly, I know they aren't winning a lot, but it's a good school and I'm happy about the offer.

"I think Temple is very close to offering me too. They called my coach and said they really like me a lot."
A few other schools including Syracuse, Boston College, Virginia, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Cincinnati, Temple, Delaware and Villanova are showing interest. Is Jones looking at heading to any camps coming up?
"I'm going to Villanova's camp this weekend," he said. "I may do Temple's too and then other than that I may go to some bigger schools like Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati or Connecticut."
Although it's still early in the process, the Garden State prospect discussed a few schools that are standing out.
"I like North Carolina a lot and I'm also interested in Pittsburgh, Connecticut and Boston College," he said. "Ever since I was young I loved UNC. That was one of my favorite schools and I toured the campus because my dad is friends with coach Bunting. I like Boston College because they are a great academic school and Pittsburgh and Connecticut are close to home and good programs.
"In general, I pretty much am looking for a program that wins. Of course as a receiver I'd like a place that throws the ball and then I want somewhere I feel at home. I want good academic support too; to guide me and make sure I get my degree. As for location, I want to stay in the Northeast if I can."
