West Palm Beach (Fla.) Summit Christian tight end Jean Prophete pulled his first offer recently. The 6-foot-4, 260-pounder is getting interest from a number of other schools as well.
"I got an offer from Bethune Cookman," he said. "Cookman offered me last week and I don't think word has gotten out about that yet.
"North Carolina is still talking to me, I've heard from Florida International, Tennessee and Virginia Tech."
Does Prophete like anybody?
"I like Virginia Tech, Miami and Florida State, those types of schools," he said. "They are powerhouse teams and they play tough competition."
As interest develops, Prophete mentioned what he wants in a school.
"I want a good education. I want to go into the medical field, sports medicine," he said. "When I go to college, I want somewhere that'll make me a collegiate or even pro player. I want to get bigger, faster and stronger."
This past season Prophete posted 727-yards receiving and 12 touchdowns while earning first team all-county small school honors.
"This was my first year since ninth grade, our program stopped and then they started it back up this season."
