First offer comes for DCs Clarke

Offer No. 1 has come in for Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll defensive tackle Nathaniel Clarke. The 6-foot-4, 282-pounder pulled the scholarship from the ACC.
"He's got one offer from Maryland," Archbishop Carroll head coach Rick Houchens said. "Everybody is so consumed with Jeremiah, Nathaniel is waiting. He'll have a lot more before summer is over.

"I do think Kansas State is close. He's getting very strong interest from several others including Boston College, East Carolina and Pittsburgh.
"He's trying to go to as many camps as possible. He's looking at camp at Florida and Georgia."
What stands out about Clarke?
"He's got very good quickness for his size and is very, very explosive," he said. "He's one of those two way guys that Is good on offense and defense. On offense he has a great kickback and is strong. He punches you and you move.
"On defense, he runs well and he's got a barrage of pass rush moves. He can bull rush, rip with a club, jab step and counter spin. He has great feet and is a real coachable type."
