First offer comes for 2011 lineman

It's just a couple months into the 2010 recruiting class and already some 2011 prospects are pulling offers. One of those is a huge 6-foot-7, 302-pound sophomore offensive tackle in Maryland pulled his first scholarship this week.
"I got my first offer from Pittsburgh," Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha 2011 offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio said. "I was pretty happy about the offer, it's fantastic. I was pretty surprised.

"They offered my brother (Arie Kouandjio 2010 class) earlier and he told me a bit about the school. It's a pretty good school and I like the campus."
Another offer may be coming for Kouandjio soon.
"I've heard Maryland is going to offer me after I attend their camp this summer."
The sophomore prospect is a fan of one school in particular though.
"I've been a fan of USC," he said. "I've always been a fan of that school and it's in California. I like the history of their players and they have a really good background."
It's no surprise; the Kouandjio brothers have an interest in playing together.
"I always want to play against him in practice across from each other."
The younger Kouandjio started just three games for DeMatha last season. What sticks out about him as a player?
"I played pretty well," he said. "I think I'm the loudest person on the field. I'm a hardcore football player, but I'm humble. I'm the most friendly guy off the field."
