First D-I offer comes for DE Brown

Offers are starting to pick up for an emerging defensive end in the Commonwealth. The 6-foot-4, 221-pounder picked up three new offers recently including his first from a Division I school.
"I got offers from Bucknell, Liberty and Duke," Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher's defensive end Thompson Brown said. "Duke actually came in the past day. Hopefully more will come soon from the Division I schools.

"I think a lot of schools recruiting coaches are familiar with me and how I run around. They've come to lacrosse games and it is just cause of my lack of film. They are saying I need to come to camps and then I can leave with an offer."
Before getting into camps, what does Brown think about the Blue Devils?
"I mean, they are a great school academically," he said. "That was kind of what I was hoping for, a school like Duke, Virginia, Boston College or Maryland, good schools academically. I know Duke is a good school. Other than that, I don't know a ton about them. I went to their spring game and saw the campus and facilities, I enjoyed it, I liked it."
Brown plans to hit the camp circuit in the next couple weeks.
"I actually have three camps now," he said. "It's not set in stone, but I'm going to Virginia on the 19th. I've got Maryland and Boston College in the next couple weeks, but I don't know the exact dates. I may add three more to the list too like Georgia Tech, NC State, Wake Forest and North Carolina."
