First BCS offer comes for LB Williams

Linebacker Chase Williams has held an offer from New Mexico State for a while. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder picked up his second scholarship on Thursday, this time coming from the BCS.
"I got offered by West Virginia," he said. "It's a great school and it's getting interested. New Mexico State offered as an inside linebacker and West Virginia offered as a tight end. Now that I have offers on both sides of the ball, it's an interesting dynamic in my thought process."

Already Williams has visited Maryland for junior day and plans to head to South Carolina on Saturday.
"After that visit, I'm not really sure where I'm headed until mid-spring when my dad, brother and I go on some visits around the country to schools that are interested in me and I'm interested in too."
The interest for Williams is quickly rising with numerous colleges including Virginia Tech, Maryland, South Carolina, Alabama, LSU, Penn State, Tennessee, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia, Duke, UCLA and USC showing interest.
As a junior, Williams posted 163 tackles, four sacks and one interception on his way to all-district and all-region honors.
