As spring football has started in the Lone Star state, college coaches are making the rounds and handing out offers. Some of those are coming to players that already have a nice collection, but many are being given to players that are just recently factoring into the recruiting picture. Here are 10 of the hottest names early in spring ball.

Delpit recently released his Top 10 which included Clemson, whom he announced shortly thereafter had officially offered him. Florida State and Arizona were not included in those initial 10 schools but also threw their names into the hat. Delpit has not announced a commitment date, but if either FSU or Arizona can make some quick headway, they might stand a chance of bouncing Oklahoma or Miami off the short list.

Jones has been committed to Baylor for a long time, but has recently picked up an offer from Alabama and visited Notre Dame for the Irish’s spring game. Though he has still not given a significant indication that his commitment is wavering, other programs clearly feel they can wedge themselves in a little bit. Jones was impressed with the tradition in South Bend and enjoyed his visit, but schools will need to get creative to win him over.

After picking up some big offers earlier this month, Zabie has come through with another recent flurry of offers from UCF, Oregon State and Florida. Coaching staffs are no doubt in love with his size and he plays with strong emphasis on his technique, which is encouraging to see as he hasn’t been playing football for a very long time. He’s still looking to add offers and with those that he’s already collected coming from all over the map, he’ll likely need time to plan and make more visits before we’ll see a major hint as to what he’s thinking.

Concerns over the status of Netherly’s commitment to Texas A&M have been growing larger over recent weeks as he took an unofficial visit to Alabama following the Crimson Tide’s recent offer and he hasn’t been shy about his appreciation for LSU. Netherly has started working at quarterback for his high school team this spring, but programs see his size and speed and won’t shy away continuing to recruit him as a receiver. Netherly is certainly on the watch list to flip, but there’s no clear feel as to when that decision may come.

Ebner, a former SMU commit, landed his biggest offer this week from TCU. He is also sitting on an offers from Arkansas, Illinois, Syracuse and Kansas. Tulsa and Texas-San Antonio also offered the three-star receiver this week. A speedy athlete with decent size and explosion out of his breaks, Ebner is starting to get the caliber of offers that could lead him to make his next commitment before the start of next season.

Johnson is right on the threshold of bulking up past the point of playing as a safety. If or when that happens, he is going to be a fantastic will linebacker prospect. Programs are taking note of that sort of versatility and he’s very recently landed offers from North Texas and Mississippi State. TCU could be the next school in the mix for Johnson, who is planning on collecting more offers over the spring before deciding on a timeline for his commitment.

Orji looks like he is just a couple of steak dinners away from being one of the most terrifying-looking linebackers in the 2018 class. Programs have been taking notice of the statuesque recruit and he’s picked up offers from Texas A&M, Utah, Baylor and Nebraska with an unofficial visit to Texas mixed in there. It doesn’t take much more than him to walk in a room to pick up an offer, but with plenty of time left to go in his recruitment, Oklahoma seems to have the early inside track.

The 2018 Yoakum, Texas, athlete recently picked up offers from Texas Tech and Oklahoma within hours of each other on Wednesday. He wasted no time in expressing his interest in the Sooners with his tweet announcing their offer:

Moore also has an offer from nearby Houston in his back pocket, but will hope that this week’s momentum will lead to a few more heavy hitters; he was a standout at the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour event in Dallas and recently took a couple of visits to Texas.

Jackson is part of an impressive 2018 class at Sachse and he’s started to create some buzz with his work on the spring camp circuit. Texas Tech was the first team to take the plunge on Jackson and Iowa followed soon after. Jackson is a sharp route-runner and will be stepping into a much larger role with his team this season. The fundamentals are there with him and as he continues to get faster and stronger, more offers will follow.

Renfro is another prospect that is starting to pick up some steam on the recruiting front after getting things started with offers from Texas Tech, SMU and UTSA. Renfro is a long, rangy prospect built more like a traditional perimeter wideout than the cornerback position he plays, but he has unique physical attributes that will keep him an intriguing watch as he continues to polish up his abilities as a defensive back.
