Throughout the country, there are always battleground states. Schools in the West battle for players in California. Florida is a place for SEC, ACC and even Big Ten. Georgia is fruitful recruiting ground for most of the SEC. But sometimes a school can reach across the country, or into an area where recruiting success is far from assured, and nab a top talent.

In this week's First and 10, we break down the 10 biggest out-of-state grabs, programs that surprised by stealing a top talent away from programs closer to home.
