Finley readies to make decision

Even though he has two more visits lined up in January, wide receiver James Finley could announce his college decision within the week.
"I'm thinking about announcing it at the Cali-Florida bowl," Finley said.

"I talked to my dad about it, and he said it was cool with him."
Finley says he's most likely to pick Oregon State.
"I really liked Coach Erickson," Finley said. "When he came to the house, he was real straight forward.
"He told me that he wanted playmakers. He said if you can make plays, then he wants you.
"He doesn't care if you run a 4.9 or a 4.3, if you're a freshman or senior, he just wants people who make plays."
Finley made plenty of plays this year.
The Los Angeles Manual Arts senior made 85 rreceptions for 1,504 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Finley has already visited Oregon and Oregon State, and has visits lined up to Fresno State (Jan. 4) and Arizona State (Jan. 11).
But it appears unlikely that he'll be taking those trips.
He also considered USC, but the Trojans are "too close to home", according to Finley.
"It's about time I make a decision," he said. "I've done enough visiting and stuff I think."
A commitment from the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Finley would be a coup for the Beavers. Finley is one of the top five senior receivers in California.
