Finley Amuses Himself

Where was James Finley this weekend? Not where recruiting fans thought expected.
James Finley didn’t make his scheduled official visit to Washington State this weekend. Instead, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound four-star receiver was at the amusement park Knottsberry Farms.

“It was our senior class trip,” Finley explained. “We all went and had a good time. I changed the visit to Washington State to January.”
His trip to Wazzu has been re-scheduled to Jan. 11.
The next visit for Finley is set for next weekend, Dec. 14, to Oklahoma.
He also has some home visits with college coaches before that. USC coach Pete Carroll is expected to make a home visit on Wednesday with Trojan assistant Kirby Wilson.
According to Finley, his high school, Los Angeles’ Manual Arts, is only three blocks away from the USC campus.
Oregon and Oregon State also remain in the picture after receiving official visits from Finley in November. Duck coach Mike Belotti paid a home visit to Finley last week.
Finley caught 85 passes for 1,504 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior. He claimed no leader among his choices, but did say that he does not expect to make a college decision until mid-January.
