Davie (Fla.) Western three-star defensive tackle Jared Martin took his fourth and final official visit this weekend to Minnesota. The 6-foot-1, 288-pounder said one of the biggest highlights of his official visit was seeing snow for the first time in his life.
"The first thing I did when I got to my host's house was to go outside and throw some snow balls against the wall," Martin said. "I had to get that out of me. It's been something I've wanted to do for a long, long time."
Other than the snow what did he like about his time in Minnesota?
"Getting to hang out with the players was probably the biggest thing I also liked," Martin said. "The kids on the team were real cool."
Now with visits to Arizona State, Colorado, Minnesota and Pittsburgh in the books, Martin now will turn his decision to making a final decision. He said none of the four teams have taken a lead, and that's why he's not taking another visit.
"I don't want to make it even more confusing," he said. "The coaches are going to come in the house one more time, then I'm going to make my decision after that."
Minnesota is scheduled to come in Monday, Colorado is coming on Wednesday and Pittsburgh is coming on Thursday. Martin said he was unsure when Arizona State was going to be in.
