Final three for Demetris Summers

Lexington, S.C. running back Demetris Summers had a busy week with the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and now he heads full steam into his official visit schedule. He's narrowed things down to three lucky schools.
"I go to Florida this weekend and South Carolina on Jan. 17 and Clemson on Jan. 24," said the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder. "It's down to those three, they've shown the most interest."

Does Florida lead as reported?
"I like Florida a lot and I told Chris Leak that I'd commit if he did," he laughed. "Now he's going to look for me to follow him. I really won't know who I like the best until I take my visits, but I like Florida."
Summers had listed South Carolina as his favorite in the past and the Gamecocks proximity to home (20 minutes) was a big factor. However, recent developments have changed things.
"They're losing coaches like crazy," he said. "First they lost coach Strong and now my recruiting coach, Joker Phillips, is gone. That's a big deal to me and makes me think coach Holtz is leaving soon too."
Summers said he'll decide after his three trips.
