The clock is ticking on wide receiver Jordyn Adams. The Rivals250 prospect out of Cary (N.C.) Green Hope has a top five and his decision date is inching closer and closer.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

“I have Alabama, LSU, North Carolina, Clemson, and Ohio State in my top five,” Adams said. “Right now they're all even. I made them my top five because they are the only five I'm considering. I plan to visit Alabama in the beginning of the summer.

“The Ohio State spring game was really good,” he said. “The fans were really wild. Normally fans at spring games are pretty out of it but it was a packed house the whole game. After the game the fans were on the field and really loved their players. That really stuck out to me.

“I visited LSU when I was younger because I lived near them,” said Adams. What stuck out to me early on was their baseball program. All of these schools are telling me I could play baseball.

“With North Carolina I really trying to figure out if I feel like it's a home for me,” he said. “That's what I've been looking at.

“Clemson is definitely still a serious contender,” Adams said. “I'm trying to get down to Clemson any chance I can so I can try to make my decision.

“My commitment could come any time but the latest would be my birthday on October 18th,” he said. “My relationship with coaches, early playing time, and if it feels like a home are the major things I'm looking at."

RIVALS’ REACTION

Adams is a great prospect that can do it all as a wide receiver but it seems like he is destined to end up a Tar Heel. His father, Deke Adams, is the North Carolina defensive line coach and the younger Adams has been spending a lot of time on the Chapel Hill campus. Even putting all that aside, Adams is a great fit in the North Carolina offense and he has a great relationship with wide receivers coach Gunter Brewer. Ohio State and Clemson seem like they are the next two in line. Clemson was probably his leader until earlier this year and Ohio State really helped themselves by showing Adams a good time during his visit for the spring game.
