Final decision nears for Mayo

After a crazy day in which the phone won’t stop ringing and the decision has yet to be made, Dalton, Ga., three-star center Cameron Mayo has come up with a solution. However, the resolution has yet to be decided.
“I’m not 100 percent sure about what I’m going to do,” Mayo, a 6-foot-5, 258-pound offensive lineman that is a soft commitment to Auburn. “But I’m still talking things over. I think the best way for me to announce this will be at my football banquet tomorrow night.”

That banquet is at 6 p.m. est at Dalton High School. And that’ll be when he makes his final decision between Auburn, Tennessee and Ole Miss. By setting the announcement to be tomorrow night, the Mayo family is hoping that finally his phone at home will stop ringing off the hook.
“It’s been crazy,” Mayo said.
Mayo visited Tennessee this weekend – the same school where his father, Bill, was an All-American at. He was hosted by Rob Smith and the two did hit it off with each other.
“I really liked hanging out with him,” Mayo said. “He showed me a good time.”
But still even the family ties to UT don’t mean that he’s a lock for the Vols and the decision has yet to be made.
“My dad is going crazy because I’ve not made up my mind yet,” Mayo said. “He’s trying to help me with my decision, but I’m having a hard time. I don’t know what I’m going to do yet. I’m just trying to think about it and find the one that’s going to be right for me.”
