"Colleges keep telling me they have to do paperwork, they aren't specifically saying offers yet."
Fields isn't claiming a favorite at this point in time, though he does plan to take at least one visit soon to Pittsburgh on February 2nd.
The lineman just returned from a showing at the U.S. Army National Combine.
"I did really well there," he said. "I learned a lot and I hope I'll be picked to play in the game next year."
As for the season itself, Fields had a solid year.
"We went to the state championship and lost by three," he said. "I played really well. I'm satisfied with what I did this year. I was all-conference both ways and defensive MVP for the conference. I was also all-state offensive lineman."
