Fields remaining patient

Three-star cornerback Bryon Fields continues to garner offers. The 5-foot-10, 163-pounder is up to double-digit offers as he is still waiting to see who else comes in.
"I have 10 offers now, my most recent is from Harvard," he said. "I have heard from some other schools, Duke some, Stanford, Georgia Tech and Oregon State through my coaches.

"It varies with what they are saying, but they all want me to come for games. I've been to camps and they like me, but it's an issue, some have guys committed and others have said if an offer comes it'll be later."
Fields hasn't had a chance to get out to visits this season, but hopes to.
"I plan on making some, but when and where I don't know," he said. "I want to see some games during the season and make some officials.
"I don't have a favorite right now. It's not even about what I want to see on visits. It's a lot about the academics for me. I want to get the best balance of academics and football, with academics being a priority."
Fields and Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day are off to a 5-2 start.
"I'm doing pretty well," he said. "I injured myself in the first game with an MCL. I was out about two games, but I'm 100% now and have two interceptions. I'm playing both sides of the ball and doing running back and wide receiver. I had two touchdown catches on Friday receiving."
