Fields prepares for camps

Shay Fields is eyeing this summer to attend camps, impress coaches and possibly pick up more offers.
The Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star wide receiver has one particular stop in mind and it's right down the road from his house at UCLA.

"They want to see me at the camp," Fields said.
"They want to work with me a little bit and then they'll see from there. That's why I'm planning to go to the camp they had last year, I'm going to go to the same one this year at UCLA."
The Bruins are definitely one of the favorites for Fields, one of many top prospects at St. John Bosco who could see his recruitment take off even more as his senior season approaches.
There was a chance he could take an unofficial visit to Westwood this past weekend but that did not happen. Earlier, he was expected to take a trip to Nevada but those plans fell through as well.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect already has an offer from Nevada. Cal has been showing more interest, too.
This summer is a big time for Fields, who plays with the Snoop 7on7 team, because he's looking for as much exposure as possible. He's one of many recruits expected this weekend at the Passing Down tournament in Fontana, Calif.
Getting to the UCLA camp will be especially important for him later this off-season.
"I'm planning to go there for the camp this summer and see what I get there," Fields said. "I want to work with the coaches a little bit.
"It's pretty motivating because right now it's all on me to get that scholarship from them. I want to show them my work ethic."
