Fields holds WVU, Pitt offers

Two bitter rivals are already going head-to-head for one of the best prospects in Pennsylvania. Athlete Elijah Fields has offers from Pitt and West Virginia.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound wide receiver/safety from Duquesne, Pa. has run the 40-yard dash in as quickly as 4.43 seconds.

"I'm hearing from Louisville, UNC, Ohio State, Oklahoma and a lot of other schools, but Pitt and West Virginia are the only two that have offered yet."
What sets Fields apart as an athlete?
"I'm real good as a deep threat," he said. "My size and speed allows me to get deep and I make myself a good target. As a defensive player I'm just a real hard hitter."
Fields caught 23 passes for 591 yards as a junior, earning first team all-conference honors.
"I'm probably going to camp at Pitt, and I might go somewhere else too. It's too early for me to pick any favorites, but I do know that Pitt and West Virginia are recruiting me the hardest. That may pay off for them later."
