Ferrine playing the waiting game

Safety Leo Ferrine had at one time narrowed his list of favorites down to about three. But things seem to be opening back up again, and he's not in a hurry to make a decision.
"Right now I'm basically just waiting to see what will happen on it's own before I have to really do too much," he said. "I want to hear what schools have to offer, see what scholarships I get -- that kind of stuff."

The 6-foot-0, 180-pound safety from East Orange (N.J.) Essex Catholic runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds and has several offers on the table. Who are his leaders?
"Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Pitt and Rutgers are right up there together," he said. "Rutgers is close to home, and Penn State, Pitt and the two Virginia schools are too. Notre Dame is one of the most prestigious schools and programs in the country, so it would be an honor to play there.
"I like that each of those schools has proven that they're committed to improving. You can tell they're all going to be at least solid in the future because of the kind of athletes they're recruiting."
Penn State and Rutgers have offered Ferrine, and he expects more in the near future.
