Ferrine names two leaders

Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep safety Leo Ferrine (6-foot-0, 180 pounds, 4.4-second 40-yard dash) has taken two visits so far and has two remaining. Two schools have emerged as his leaders, and after visiting one over the weekend, he will travel to the other next week.
Ferrine visited Penn State and had a good trip.

“It went good,” he commented. “Everything went just like I expected so nothing really stood out. I knew a lot about Penn State already.” He was hosted by safety Calvin Lowry and gave the trip an eight on a scale of one to ten.
This was his second trip and it moved the Nittany Lions into a tie for the lead, one step ahead of the school he had visited previously: Rutgers.
“I thought both were similar,” he compared the two schools. “Rutgers showed me the facilities they were building, but they were like the ones Penn State already had. When Rutgers finishes, they will have the same thing, but since Penn State already has them, that was the big thing.”
While he still has trips scheduled for Notre Dame this upcoming weekend and Virginia the following weekend, two schools will likely fight it out for his signature.
“I like two schools ahead of the others: Penn State and Notre Dame,” he said. “I may make a decision before my last visit. That is a possibility.”
