Three-star cornerback Anthony Ferla out of Waldwick (N.J.) St. Joseph's has named his first official visit and appears to have narrowed his list of schools. What stands out about the remaining schools to the 5-foot-10, 194-pounder?

"I've set my first official with Kansas on January 15th," he said. "I'm hoping to just go down there and see if I fit in. I'm planning to go where I feel most comfortable and get a good education. I'm hoping Kansas can offer that."
Ferla has also narrowed his list apparently.
"There are a lot of schools that might potentially be offering me including Maryland, Colorado State, Northwestern and Virginia," he said. "These schools have been talking to me the most recently and I think the offers are coming, they just are waiting to pull the trigger once they see what other recruits do.
"I like all of those schools a lot. I like Northwestern because my brother goes there and that's a nice option, but at the same time I have to go where I feel most comfortable. I like Maryland and Virginia because they are closer to home. Finally, Colorado State might be far away, but they've been really nice to me. One other thing is academically all these schools are pretty solid and I like how they are recruiting me. I'd say these schools are standing out since they are showing the most interest, but if others pop up we'll see what happens."
This season the No. 25 player in New Jersey has helped St. Joseph's to a 7-1 record.
