Ferguson likes hometown school USF

It's still early for Class of 2015 Tampa (Fla.) Gaither cornerback Nate Ferguson, but even so he was thrilled when he recently added his first two offers via Florida Atlantic and South Alabama over the past few weeks.
"It's a big relief," the 5-foot-9, 175-pounder said. "Now I know I'm doing the right stuff and colleges are interested in me."

While he has just two offers in, several other schools are starting to show interest, including North Carolina, Clemson, Miami and USF. Ferguson provided his thoughts on the trio as well as the Owls.
FAU: "It's a good school and I like the coaches, too. They have a new staff so I'm expecting a big turnaround. I've been talking to Coach Nick Caley so far but I'm looking forward to meeting the whole staff."
Miami: "They've been talking to me a lot but they want to see me at their camp before they offer. They like me as a corner so they want to evaluate me in person."
USF: "USF is my hometown school and Nate Godwin, we played together at Freedom and he's like my big brother so I like them a lot. Coach Taggart is a good coach and I think he's going to turn it around."
Ferguson has upcoming visits to USF and Florida State over the next few weeks. He said that while he's hoping to add new offers, he doesn't have any one school in mind just yet.
"It really doesn't matter to me," he said. "I just want to play football, it doesn't matter as long as I'm on the field playing."
