Fera gets two big offers

The city of Houston is home to the two top kickers in the country. Clear Lake's Dustin Hopkins committed to Florida State this summer and the other could be nearing a decision.
St. Pius X kicker Anthony Fera has been dominating kicking camps throughout the country as well as putting on shows at one-day college camps throughout the nation. Two schools officially offered Fera over the past week and one particular school is a clear leader.

"Anthony was offered by Kansas State and Penn State," father Tony Fera said. "Ohio State offered to greyshirt him and Michigan has verbally offered."
Fera ranks second by Chris Sailer Kicking and shown tremendous development over the summer as one of the nation's strongest and most accurate kickers. He also plays linebacker for the back-to-back TAPPS private school champion St. Pius Panthers.
"I think he's about 75-percent sure that it will be Penn State," Fera said. "He loved the facilities and it's up there in the mountains. It just seems like a great college atmosphere.
"The coaches that have recruited him have been very honest with him and I think he really appreciates that. This is all coming pretty fast and he wants to see what else comes in, but he really likes Penn State."
