Junior To Watch: Dan Lawlor
School: Mechanicsburg (Pa.) Cumberland Valley

Position: Fullback/linebacker
Size and speed: Dan is huge at 6-foot-3, 226 pounds and runs a 4.6 second 40-yard dash. He also has a 300+ maximum bench press
Honors: All-Sentenial, all-league, all Mid-Ten all-star team.
Statistics: Last season Lawlor ran for 1,200 yards on 147 carries with 23 touchdowns. In two season as the starting fullback he has 2,634 yards and 47 scores.
Favorite schools: Dan is listing six schools as his favorites for now. Maryland, Michigan, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Penn State will all get good looks during the recruiting process. He has an offer from Maryland.
Skinny: This proto-typical fullback will be considered one of the top players in Pennsylvania this upcoming season and should be ranked amongst the top fullbacks in the country. The question is what position will he play in college, fullback or linebacker?
He has excellent running skills with good feet and hips, which make him very desirable for a college looking for a big running fullback. As a linebacker he can really move and has the ability to get to the corner. With his great size he could be a dominant inside player at the next level.
“For now I would rather play fullback in college, but that’s not imperative. I know a few schools are looking at me as an inside linebacker and that’s fine, but my preference is to stay on offense.”
Dan would like to get a jump on the recruiting process by visiting a few schools during the Spring.
“I’m trying to work out a visit to Michigan for a their Junior Day in May. I would also like to visit a few others as well before the summer.”
What about summer camps?
“I’m not sure if I’ll camp anywhere yet, that’s all still up in the air.”
