FB has lingo, recruiting licked

Every player and every region has its own unique “lingo” that players use to describe certain schools. In the state of Utah, it’s pretty simple. “The Y” is BYU, and “The U” is Utah.
“I’m talking to The Y, to The U, and to Nebraska right now,” Salt Lake City East standout running back Taufui Vakapuna said.

BYU and Utah have offered scholarships, while Nebraska is contacting him weekly.
“I talk to Coach Brown (a Nebraska assistant) a lot. Nebraska is recruiting me as a running back. All of the schools are recruiting me as a running back.”
He claims no favorite among his choices.
“I’m just staying neutral until I take my visits. I go to The Y in January and The U in December. I haven’t set anything up with Nebraska yet.”
Vakapuna is 6-foot, 200 pounds. He says he runs a consistent 4.5-second 40-yard dash. He is a three-year starter for East. He has rushed for more than 1,100 yards as a senior with 14 touchdowns.
