Favorites take shape with Brown

When the film started going out to coaches from defensive end Jerry Brown of St. Louis (Mo.) Vashon, the offers started rolling in quickly.
However, Brown has also been active in his recruiting taking visits to Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri for the Rivals.com junior day thus far. With new offers showing up on his doorstep like Louisville and schools like Kansas State in hot pursuit, the race is heating up. Still, the 6-foot-4, 262-pound Brown looks like he has the same top two teams.

"Oklahoma and Nebraska would be above the rest," Brown said. "Illinois would probably be in the third spot and I'm also looking at Missouri and Louisville too."
Brown explained that his top two shapes up because both teams were the recipients of successful visits and he got to see good academic programs, facilities, and coaches with both Big 12 schools.
However, this race is far from over.
"I just want to get my official visits done first," Brown said. "I'll probably visit OU and Nebraska but I don't know about the others. I had a pretty good list going that I said I wanted to visit, but I'm still evaluating a lot of schools."
There are many schools to evaluate because numerous schools have been by the school recently and offers look to be on the way.
"K-State came up to the school, and they had to go back and evaluate the film then they were going to call about an offer," he said. "Arkansas came by the school and I think they offered but I need to call and find out."
Michigan State and Kansas have also offered Brown.
