Favorites emerge for Hinnant

J.D. Hinnant has some favorites but the three-star offensive lineman from Fountain Valley, Calif., has a round of visits set up that could change his recruitment.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound prospect said Oregon, Oregon State, Nebraska, Cal, Colorado and Duke look the best at this point but he's taking trips in the next few weeks that might be crucial in his decision-making process.

Hinnant will be at Cal and Stanford this weekend and then head to Duke on July 30. He would like to take official visits before his commitment but he could make his pick after this round of visits if he finds something he loves.
"They definitely are great academic schools and I want to see how I like it at Cal, Stanford and Duke," Hinnant said. "I want to see the atmospheres and I can't wait to meet the coaches and just see how I fit in all-around there.
"I would like to take officials before I decide but if I want to make a decision before then I will. They will definitely be very important in my decision-making. I want to see how I fit in with the schools. If I fall in love with one of them I could make a decision."
Hinnant, rated as the No. 45 offensive tackle in the 2013 class and No. 40 in the California state rankings by Rivals.com, recently visited Washington and came away impressed.
The trip was good but the Huskies were not among his favorites at this point.
"I really liked the whole atmosphere," Hinnant said.
"I like the coaches and I like what they're doing out there. It seems like they've turned around the program from two years ago and it seems like they're exploding out of nowhere. The recruits they've signed it looks like it's going to be an exciting program the next couple years."
In total, Hinnant has landed offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Duke, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, Washington and Washington State.
