Favor could decide soon

Arsenio Favor is one of the better quarterback prospects from the state of Alabama. Favor, 6-3 and 218 pounds, is from Millbrook Stanhope Elmore High School. Last season as a junior he threw for over 1,600 yards and rushed for over 400 yards. He set a school record with 24 total touchdowns.
"I have a very strong arm and good footwork," Favor said. "I am a pocket quarterback that can get away from pressure. I can run by design and really am a dual threat guy. I need to keep working on my footwork and I would like to work on my speed. I run a 4.6 (forty) and I know I can always get faster. If I were faster I could be more effective."

Favor has had a busy summer. He has already camped at Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Louisville, Troy, Western Kentucky, Auburn and Tennessee. He will camp at Mississippi State again on Friday and Ole Miss on Saturday.
"It's been a good summer, a fun summer. I have been to a lot of camps and just trying to work hard. I feel like everywhere I have been I have been the dominant quarterback."
According to Favor Western Kentucky, Southern Miss and Arkansas State have offered him at this time. Does one stand out?
"Honestly, I am interested in all of them. I just left Western Kentucky last Thursday. I really liked it there. The campus and the coaches are cool. I talked with the head coach for a while. They really impressed me.
"I went for a visit to Southern Miss over the summer. One of my friends plays there and he took me around. I am going back there at the end of this month (July 31st) to check them out again. I also like the coaches there.
"I don't know much about Arkansas State but I plan on visiting them this fall. I really want to see them.
"Vandy, Auburn. Tennessee, Troy, and Louisville are some teams recruiting me that haven't offered yet. I would like to make a decision right before the season or in the beginning of the year. I want to concentrate on senior year and get it out of the way."
