Lafayette, La., running back Jasper Faulk has been rumored for a long time to be an academic causality. But that's no longer the case.
Faulk, who is 6-foot and 190 pounds, recently received a passing ACT score and that combined with his grade-point average has allowed him to be qualified to play Division I football.
That word hasn't quite gotten out to many coaches, though.

"I do have a few visits set up," he said.
"I'm going to Northwestern State this weekend, and I'm also set up to visit Southern Miss and UL after that.
"I'm supposed to talk to LSU tomorrow about visiting them on Feb. 1."
Faulk said he would be very interested in all of the programs on his list and he has offers from UL and Southern Miss.
"I've got the family ties to LSU," Faulk said. "So I hope to hear more from them and hope to get to take that visit."
