Fast rising TE makes pledge

Three-star tight end Lance Evbuomwan (6-5, 235, 4.8) from Redlands (Calif.) East Valley saw his stock soar after an outstanding senior season. The talented tight end just returned from his trip to Kansas and he made his decision.
"Kansas was good, but I committed to Arizona State" Evbuomwan said. "I like ASU's team chemistry and that it's in the Pac 10."

"I liked ASU's coaches and everybody at ASU is cool," Evbuomwan said. "It was a tough decision, but in the end I just felt that it is better for me overall at ASU."
For the season Evbuomwan had 54 receptions for 739 yards and 13 touchdowns.
In an earlier interview with East Valley Coach Kurt Bruich had the following to say about his talented tight end.
"Lance is an outstanding athlete with great size," Bruich said. "He runs precise routes and has soft hands."
"The best thing about Lance is, this is only his second year playing football," Bruich said. "His potential is off the charts."
Evbuomwan chose ASU over other offers from Kansas, UTEP, Nevada and Colorado State.
Evbuomwan just earned first-team all-league honors for his senior season performance. Now he is qualified for all-CIF honors when they come out.
Nice get for Arizona State.
