Fast rising QB makes the call

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey fast rising quarterback Joseph Gray (6-0, 180) received the offer he had been hoping to get and it came earlier today. It didn’t take long for the signal caller to say yes.
“Once Joseph received an offer from Washington, it was pretty much going to be a done deal,” Dorsey assistant coach Carver Russaw said. “He already liked the school and once the Huskies started to recruit him in earnest he was really excited.

“Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian saw him play and that was it,” Russaw said. “Plus the Dorsey/UDub tradition also played a larger part. Washington almost always has one player from Dorsey on their team.”
The Huskies get an outstanding quarterback with a lot of upside in Gray. He has led Dorsey to a 4-0 start and 15th ranking in the CIF Southern Section. The Dorsey Dons are rated No.1 in the City Section.
On the season, Gray has hit on 54 passes out 95 attempts for 1,108 yards and 12 touchdowns against only two interceptions. A stat that shows is decision making abilities. He also has 82 yards rushing the football on 12 carries. He has an outstanding 129 quarterback rating.
Washington is doing an outstanding job evaluating and finding talent on the recruiting trail. Gray is an excellent example of what the Huskies are doing right on the recruiting trail.
