Fast rising OL has five offers

Offensive lineman Eben Britton (6-6 ½, 280, 5.0) from Burbank (Calif.) Burroughs is one of the fastest rising prospects on the West Coast. In the last two weeks Britton has received five written offers and there could be another forthcoming from one of the nation’s top programs.
Arizona and Arizona State were the first schools to come out of the box with offers a couple weeks ago. UCLA, Oregon and San Diego State joined the two Arizona schools with written offers this past weekend.

USC could be joining the Britton with an offer in the very near future. Britton will attend USC’s one-day lineman camp later this month and he attended USC’s junior day held this past weekend.
Britton was selected all-league second-team as a junior but look for his honors to soar this season.
“We think Eben will end up the League Lineman MVP his senior season,” Burroughs head coach Keith Knoop said. “I don’t see any other team in the league having a lineman like Eben.”
“Eben is a great kid and super motivated for football,” Knoop said. “He won the league in the shot put as a sophomore but he won’t participate in track because he wants to concentrate on football.”
Britton has an advanced knowledge of conditioning. His mom was a track star in college and is now a fitness guru. This young man is in tip top shape and is well versed with modern conditioning methods.
Because of all the conditioning, Britton is very limber and that enhances his athleticism.
“Eben is a very lean 280 pounds,” Knoop said. “He could possibly carry 315 pounds with out losing any quickness.”
“Eben has outstanding leadership skills,” Knoop said. “He has the respect of his teammates.”
“A lot of young guys are afraid to get after people if they aren’t doing things right because the peer pressure to be liked is so great,” Knoop said. “Not Eben he doesn't let things like that get in the way of the job at hand.
“Eben’s leadership is rubbing off on the other guys,” Knoop said. “His leadership skills should help him on the next level.”
According to Knoop, at the present time USC has a slight lead over Oregon and UCLA.
Remember there is a lot of recruiting season to go and many things can happen from now until signing day.
