Farrell takes an unofficial

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Shady Side Academy offensive tackle Mike Farrell continues to hold one offer from the MAC. However, the 6-foot-5, 285-pounder is hearing from numerous other schools and took an unofficial visit this past weekend to the Big Ten.
"No one else has offered since Miami (Ohio)," he said. "I did take a visit to Penn State on Saturday to watch Ohio State.

"It was a lot of fun even though it was a rough game. They have an awesome atmosphere. I even got to talk to coach Bradley for a bit."
Other schools in touch with the two-star lineman are Penn State, Marshall, Toledo, Pittsburgh and Maryland.
Has Farrell begun to consider officials?
"I don't really know the situation for official visits and haven't set those up. I'm focused on my season and the playoffs right now.
At this point, the Keystone State lineman has helped his team to an 8-1 record.
"The season is going pretty well," he said. "We start the playoffs on Friday and we're not sure what to expect.
"I think our team has been playing really well on defense and we just have to keep it going and improve the offense a bit.
"I've been getting better as the season goes on. I'm playing both was and I'm much faster."
