Farniok expects to see ISU again

Rivals250 2016 offensive tackle Matt Farniok's season visit schedule thus far has revolved around his brother's college game schedules.
Farniok has two brothers playing at the Division I level, including Iowa State fifth year senior offensive lineman Tom Farniok. The Cyclones are one of six schools that have already extended an offer to Matt.

"I went to my brother's game at Iowa State when they played NDSU the first week," Farniok said. "Since it is his fifth year, I've gotten to know the coaching staff pretty well there. I also know their facilities pretty well. It can get pretty loud and noisy and it's usually pretty fun watching from the stands."
Visits for the rest of the season have not been determined, but Farniok expects to make it back to Iowa State for another game this fall.
"It's kind of a week-by-week thing and with it being my brother's senior year I want to try and make as many of those as I can," Farniok said.
Another brother, Derek Farniok, is a junior at Oklahoma. Interest from the Sooners has not matched that from Iowa State, though, and the game the family attended to see Derek was an away contest at Tulsa.
Besides Iowa State, Farniok holds offers from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Vanderbilt and Washington State. The one game Farniok attended this year where he did not have a brother playing was Nebraska, and he spoke with HuskerOnline.com about that visit in September.
A native of Sioux Falls, S.D., Farniok has trouble traveling to Saturday college games after his Friday night football games for Washington High. The contact with colleges, then, has been primarily through the mail.
"The mail has been steady from all the schools that have routinely been (recruiting)," Farniok said. "Vanderbilt has been sending a little bit of mail and I'm also getting things from Arizona."
On the field this season the 6-foot-5, 308-pound Farniok has been playing left tackle for a 3-5 Washington High team.
"I feel like I have gotten a lot stronger and quicker in my feet when I am pass setting and when getting to the linebacker level," Farniok said.
