Farmer is up to double-digit offers

Three new offers are in for Tabor City (N.C.) South Columbus tight end Ethan Farmer. The 6-foot-2, 257-pounder has hit double-digits with his latest scholarships coming from the Big Ten and ACC.
"I got North Carolina A&T, Penn State and Virginia offers this week," he said. "Penn State is just a winning college and they are known for winning. Coach Paterno is a great coach and I'm glad they gave me an offer. I want to thank him for the offer. I love to watch Penn State football.

"Virginia is a winning team and they are a great ACC school. They have big tight ends come out of there. That's pretty nice."
Now, Farmer is making plans for summer visits.
"I'm going to try to make a few this summer and then take some official visits this fall," he stated. "I'm looking at going to Alabama, Clemson, Penn State, Tennessee, Duke and probably Virginia.
"I would say those six are probably the six that are sticking out for me right now too. They are all recruiting me hard and I'm going by the ones that are recruiting me hard. All of those have winning experience, good coaching staffs, nice atmospheres and good facilities. I just want to go and see them for myself with my own eyes."
Interest continues to come in for Farmer from a variety of schools.
"I think Wake Forest is really interested in me now, North Carolina is showing more interest as is Ohio State."
Farmer hopes even more offers come in the near future.
"I'd like to get offers from Florida, Southern Cal and Florida State," he said. "They all are nationally known and make it to bowl games and national championship games."
