Farley has top choice early on

Brian Farley has been offered by Maryland which seems obscure until one realizes his father attended the U.S. Naval Academy and his brother, Kevin, plays lacrosse at Navy so there are some connections to the East Coast.
Not only is Farley, a 6-foot-7, 289-pound offensive tackle from San Diego (Calif.) Patrick Henry, interested in Maryland he said the Terrapins are his No. 1 choice at this point in his recruitment.

"It's pretty high," Farley said. "So far that's my No. 1 choice. I went there and I liked it and being close to my brother is important. I just like the area around campus."
During Farley's visit to Maryland, he talked with coach Ralph Friedgen about playing football and lacrosse for the Terrapins. Farley would consider playing both sports but also admitted it would be difficult to be a multi-sport athlete on the next level. He might consider just focusing on football.
"(Friedgen) brought it up, I said I'd like to do that but it would just be hard," Farley said.
"He said they have a person who's doing that - playing football and lacrosse - and he said that it's a possibility that could happen. I would like to do that, that would be good, but just playing football would be fine, too."
Maryland stands out the most right now for Farley, one of the best-looking prospects at the recent Rivals.com Five-Star Academy at UCLA, and many other programs are trying to get involved.
Farley said he's been receiving a bunch of mail from San Diego State and is considering a trip over to see the Aztecs.
Oregon State has recently reached out and Nebraska and Arizona have also stepped up its efforts. LSU, Georgia and Kansas are also new schools on his list. Cal, Duke, UCLA, USC and Washington have been in touch.
At this point, Farley is working on rehabbing a knee injury and setting his camp schedule. If he performs well at some camps this summer, more offers could arrive especially since he's such an impressive-looking recruit.
"I'm just trying to see what camps I can go to this summer," Farley said. "I'm still trying to decide because I'm still rehabbing my knee so it all depends on that."
