San Antonio (Texas) Churchill quarterback Nick Fanuzzi had quite the weekend visit this past weekend as he took in two schools for a junior day and an unofficial visit. He also added his second offer to the mix from a big program.
Miami's junior day was the first stop on Saturday for Fanuzzi and his father, Mike Fanuzzi, and there they were not only showed the campus but also the official word on his next offer.
"Yep, Miami made the offer when we were down there," Fanuzzi's father Mike said. "It was nice down there and it's a family down there with a great reputation. It's a great program and the coaches were great to us."
Then on Sunday, the Fanuzzi family made their way to Kentucky for an unofficial visit. There, Fanuzzi's father not only got to speak with the coaches about his son's offer but see his alma mater again where he played.
"That was fun for me going back there and visiting," Fanuzzi said. "We met with the coaches for about 30 minutes and talked with them. That was also a good trip for us and that's kind of where we're at right now with visits and all.
The Hurricane offer didn't catch the Fanuzzi's by surprise.
"They were pretty high on him," Fanuzzi's father said. "So, they just went ahead and offered him once they got a chance to see him. It was well worth the trip."
