Falcons lead for Georgia defensive end

When defensive end Jacob Nesmith of Cumming (Ga.) Forsyth Central thinks about Air Force, he sees a lot of positives, including one in particular.
"They play the defense I like," Nesmith said. "I'd be a rushing defensive end. That's what they're telling me."

To date, the 6-feet-4, 255-pounder has four offers, but Air Force is the only FBS program of the group, which also includes Charlotte, Georgia Southern and Presbyterian. The Falcons are his current leader, but he isn't quite ready to pull the trigger on a commitment.
"That's where I'd go right now," Nesmith said. "But I'm waiting on more offers. Georgia Tech has been contacting me. And Georgia State and a couple of others. Probably, Furman would be the next to offer me. Then Georgia State I think."
Nesmith has visited Georgia State already this fall. He has not yet made his way to Air Force, but hopes to take an official there at some point.
"I talk to Air Force about once a week," Nesmith said. "I talk to [assistant Charlton Warren]. I've met him in person. It was in the spring. He tells me he really wants me to play there and he is super excited about recruiting me. Everyone I've talked to told me it's great out there. Hopefully, I'll get there soon after football season."
