Fairbanks remains a sleeper to watch

Neptune, N.J. wide receiver Geoff Fairbanks is becoming a bit of a sleeper in the 2013 class. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder only has two offers at this time, but many other schools are keeping tabs on the Garden State prospect.
"I've only been offered by Monmouth and Liberty," he said. "Right now it's a little slow since I'm a little bit of an unknown. Rutgers has talked to me, Connecticut seems pretty interested along with Maryland and Syracuse.

"A lot of the bigger schools want to see me more after my first three games of my senior season. From there, they will evaluate me."
A big reason why colleges are waiting is because of a quad injury that has sidelined Fairbanks for much of the summer regarding camps.
However, the wideout claims one school does stick out.
"Right now I really like Connecticut," he said. "My relationship with Coach Perkins is cool. But, I am trying to weigh my options until I get more offers."
Fairbanks is coming off a very productive junior year in which he posted 39 receptions for over 700-yards and 10 touchdowns as he earned first team all-county, second team all-conference and third team all-state while leading his team to a group 3 state championship.
