1. Someone other than Ohio State, Clemson and Alabama will be in the title game next season.

Farrell’s take: FICTION. Nope. How can we even say this? Georgia has a chance, as does Oklahoma next season, but if you’re giving me these three teams against the field, I’m taking these three. And I’m not thinking twice.

Gorney’s take: FACT. There is a very good possibility that two of those three teams end up in the title game, but Oklahoma could be preseason No. 1 and if the Sooners play like they did at the end of this season, then they could definitely be in the title game a year from now. Oklahoma should be loaded all over the field, the offense is humming and the defense is playing much better. Boomer Sooner!

2. Treyaun Webb will end up back at Georgia.

Farrell’s take: FICTION. Treyaun Webb, a 2023 star, decommitted from Georgia and dropped a top six that includes the Bulldogs, Oklahoma, LSU, Florida, Penn State and Ohio State. And while the Sooners and LSU have a great shot of pulling him away, watch out for Ohio State here.

It’s way too early to think he won’t be a priority for the Dawgs. Don't rule out another early commitment The Buckeyes recruit the Jacksonville area well and very well could land him.

Gorney’s take: FACT. It is far too early to make a prediction on where Webb ends up but Georgia definitely remains a serious contender especially since the 2023 prospect grew up a huge fan of the Bulldogs. Georgia likes him at running back which could really be interesting since it has done such a good job developing players at that position, but Ohio State should be closely watched and so should Florida. Will Webb end up back at Georgia? I can’t guarantee it, but the Bulldogs will definitely be one of the favorites for a long time.

3. Jammie Robinson, DJ Williams and other transfers will turn FSU around.

Farrell’s take: FICTION. The Seminoles are active in the portal and getting some very good talent, but Florida State is far away from being a competitive program. These additions will help, especially DJ Williams, but let’s pump the brakes on this being the solution. Defensive lineman Keir Thomas is also a great get, but the Seminoles need to significantly improve their recruiting efforts if they are going to turn the corner.

Gorney’s take: FICTION. Florida State is doing a smart thing by trying to get immediate help through the transfer portal and it might help some, but the Seminoles need a lot of help all over the field and that has to come through recruiting or an even more aggressive approach to the portal. These are some nice additions along with Jermaine Johnson, but to turn FSU back into a real contender is going to take some time.
