1. Scott Frost is now on the hot seat.

Farrell's Take: FACT. With Bill Moos gone things are going to get tricky for Scott Frost. Not only is the man who hired him retiring but the loyalty of the fan base is slowly dwindling after a 12-20 start and three losing seasons in Lincoln. Remember, this is the program that dismissed coaches such as Bo Pelini and Frank Solich despite impressive, overall winning records.

Frost needs to move Nebraska forward this season more than he did before Moos stepped down and a bowl game could be a must. I know many will say he’s safe, but the retirement of his boss has really changed the situation.

2. Texas will have a top 10 offense.

Farrell's Take: FICTION. I’m a big Steve Sarkisian fan but I was floored when I saw Texas listed in one media outlet as the No. 2 overall offense in college football. The quarterback situation is not resolved and while Bijan Robinson is great he can’t do it all. There is talent at wide receiver but Texas lost depth with Jake Smith leaving.

With Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Oklahoma and many others ready for big offensive seasons, I can’t put Texas in the top five or even in the top 10.

3. Master Teague will be the man in the backfield for Ohio State.

Farrell's Take: FICTION. Watch out for Meatball. Miyan Williams is only 5-foot-8 but he’s 227 pounds and very shifty with good feet. He’s also very hard to tackle. Most people expect Master Teague to take over the offense with Trey Sermon gone, or for super freshman TreVeyon Henderson to jump in and steal the job but my pick is Williams who looked very good this spring.
