1. LSU coach Ed Orgeron is the fourth-best recruiter in his own conference.

Farrell’s take: FACT. Imagine that? But it’s true, at least in my book. Nick Saban is the clear No. 1, followed by Kirby Smart, and then you have the Jimbo Fisher vs. Ed O debate. While Orgeron is known as an elite recruiter in all circles I am more impressed with what Fisher has done at Florida State and Texas A&M.

LSU is a pretty easy place to recruit with such a home-state advantage. Jimbo has had it harder on his way to his national title and now trying to build A&M as a power. Ed O is great, but he’s No. 4 in the SEC.

2. Terrelle Pryor and company will have their legacy restored at Ohio State.

Farrell’s take: FACT. Reggie Bush will get his Heisman back, and even if he doesn’t the “Tattoo Five” at Ohio State will at least have their wins and legacy restored. Memorabilia for tattoos is bartering of name, image and likeness, and it should have never been such a scandal in the first place. And I think it cost Ohio State a national title, as I had them winning it all if Pryor had returned to school rather than going into the NFL Supplemental Draft.

Even if you argue that Bush got too many incentives at USC you can’t really argue the same about Ohio State players getting tattoos.

3. No one will challenge Oklahoma in the Big 12.

Farrell’s take: FACT. I’ve thought about this and want to say FICTION, but who the heck is going to knock Oklahoma off the Big 12 throne? The Sooners may lose a game they shouldn’t, but do we really think Iowa State or someone else is going to beat them for the conference title? Spencer Rattler and company will be Big 12 champs again and this time they could also become national champs.
