"I've been in touch with Virginia Tech lately. Some of the coaches stopped by the school," said the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Ewell. "I know they hope to see come out there. I've looked into a couple schools like Virginia Tech. They have a really good program with technology and I think that's pretty good for me.
"I've done some research on Ohio State," he said. "Just looking at the school, I know they provide a lot with their tradition. That's one of the things I like the most. They offer what I want."
Some of Ewell's other options are Clemson, Tennessee, Michigan State, North Carolina, Maryland and many more but Ewell continues to progress at a rate he is comfortable with.
"Right now I'm just exercising with the team," Ewell said. "After the winter weather breaks we'll start getting back to doing position drills. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do career-wise. I still have a few years to choose."
Ewell helped Lake Taylor to an undefeated season and a state championship.
