Evridge still sold on the Huskers

Papillion (Neb.) La Vista quarterback Allan Evridge made his college choice several months ago. But that hasn’t stopped schools from calling.
“Allan has gotten some calls this month,” Evridge’s father, James said. “Colorado State, Kansas State, Iowa State and Nebraska have called. Alabama has sent a couple letters to him at the school and they have requested film.”

So, has the attention from other schools made 6-foot-1, 205-pound Evridge reconsider his early pledge?
“Not at all,” the elder Evridge said. “He has not had any second thoughts about his decision. He’s really happy with his choice.”
The two-star rated quarterback has kept busy this fall traveling to Lincoln for the Huskers’ first three home games.
“He’s been to every one of them,” Evridge said. “He took his grandfather to a game, and several friends to another game. It has been a lot of fun for him. We also went down to K-State’s game last weekend. Nebraska was off and we thought we’d go down and take in the game.”
Evridge has helped leads La Vista to a 2-1 record so far.
“So far so good on the season,” he said. “They lost the first game of the season to Millard West. It was a game they should have won. They had two touchdowns called back that would have won the game.”
Evridge a dual-threat style quarteback has 346 yards passing in the first two games. The third game of the season got lopsided on the scoreboard and that kept him from throwing any passes. He has also run for 261 yards on the season.
