Evridge enjoys ISU visit

Papillion (Neb.) Lavista quarterback Allan Evridge took his first official visit over the weekend. The Nebraska commitment is doing a little checking around to make sure all his bases are covered.
"I had a good trip to Iowa State," the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Evridge said. "I was a really good visit. They showed me around the school and talked to me about their program. We watched some football last night, including the Big 12 Championship game. The outcome surprised most of the people. The way Kansas State won, mostly, I think."

Cyclone receiver Todd Blythe was Evridge's host on the trip to Ames.
"Todd was a very good host," he said. "He said he liked it at Iowa State. We hung out and he answered any questions I had. He wasn’t really trying to sell the program. He just gave me a chance to see everything and was there if I needed to ask him anything."
The two-star rated Evridge will travel to Kansas State December 12 and will visit Nebraska next month.
"I am looking at visiting Nebraska in early January because of he coaching changes," he said. "I’m kind of keeping my options open. I still feel good about Nebraska."
